What Is Pebble Tec?

Pebble Tec is a premium pool interior finish made from natural pebble aggregates bound in cement. Manufactured by Pebble Technology International (PTI), it is the most recognized name in pebble-finish pool surfaces. The finish uses small, naturally tumbled stones sourced from riverbeds, creating a textured surface with an organic, lagoon-like appearance.

How Pebble Tec Works

During installation, the pebble-cement mixture is hand-applied to the pool shell in a layer approximately three-eighths of an inch thick. After the material sets, the surface is washed and treated to expose the individual pebble stones. The result is a highly textured finish where each pebble is partially visible and tactile.
